callin' all my girls!

i am so excited for a very bachelorette weekend!  i'm lucky enough to be finished work for the weekend at 12 sharp, so i have set up an appointment for my final dress fitting tomorrow afternoon. i can't wait to slip on my gown one more time! my momma will be joining me, so we will head to dinner afterwards, then its back to my place for a night filled with table arranging for the reception....  or as i like to think of it: a night filled with cocktails and laughs ;)

then saturday morning, i have a quick pitt stop at the hair salon and i'll  be off to part one of my bachelorette bash! i cannot wait! although i don't quite know what is in store, i know it will be a night to remember..

a fun purchase

for quite some time, i have been begging shawn for a DSLR camera.  i absolutely love taking and looking at photos and have really been wanting a nice camera for the honeymoon.  i don't know much in the way of cameras; what is a good price, what qualities do i want my camera to have, etc...

so, after a few months of researching and waiting for the right time to buy (haha, sounds like i'm talking about a house here!) we finally made the jump this past weekend.  i am so excited to now have my very own DSLR! we purchased the cannon rebel T3 EOS 1100D...

it is on super sale right now FYI... we were between this and a similar nikon model.  but after discussing it with the saleswomen (who was sooo helpful) we decided that this was best for us because we are beginners here!

of course, my thoughts are now where can i find the cutest case and strap? etsy, here i come!...

happy wednesday friends!

invitation reveal

i'm back!! it has been a little while, but there has been soooo much going on here.  first of all, computer problems which have prevented me from being able to blog! but that is all settled now thanks to our new macbook pro...love!  and then this little thing came along called A NEW JOB! i feel so blessed and so lucky that this kind of dream job landed in my lap!

and so, considering this is wedding wednesday, and my invitations have all been sent out, here is a look at my invitation suite!

 front (above) & back (below)
the reply card and accommodations were tucked under the twine in the back of the invitation.  i couldn't be happier with how they turned out.  it was truly a labor of love! i enjoyed every second of the process: choosing the paper, the colors, the different shades of gray, the twine to wrap it all up.  it was just so fun!
