weekend wishes & a sneak peek

after a crazy week weather-wise, i'm looking forward to a weekend with warmer temperatures.  i am NOT ready for winter, and mother nature's little gift of snow earlier this week was not well received over here! makes me want to curl up & go to sleep until spring is here.

this weekend is filled with fun & exciting things that i have been looking forward to! this afternoon shawn & i are heading to cityhall to make it OFFICIAL.... the name change that is! sort of bittersweet.. but i have been signing my new name since the day we said " i do" ;)

afterwards we plan to stroll along, do a little shopping, and grab some dinner.  my brother's band is performing in the city tonight also, and i can't wait to see them!  it will be a perfect little date afternoon/night.

other weekend plans include : an afternoon date with my mom.  catching up with some college friends. updating some home decor.  and probably looking at our wedding photos for the 25th time ... :)

friday things

boy, time sure does fly when i'm not working! it has been my first full week off for summer vacation and i have been loving it.  it really makes me wonder when i got things done around the house- all the cleaning, laundry & errands, when did i have time for that?

in honor of this being my first week off & wednesday being the first day of summer i thought i'd share the things i'm most looking forward to this summer. . .

a few friday things

1. i've been severly under the weather since late tuesday with a nasty. slimy. stomach bug.  YUCK!

2. i've had a super cute nurse attending to all my sickly needs (ahem, demands;) )

3. being sick & missing work sure has made the work week fly by

4. i'm supposed to partake in a 10 miler on sunday...eeeeeks!

5. i was feeling a little bold & thought i'd try out this tangerine shade...have to say i am loving it!

it's a dreary morning, but the temperatures are rising spring is definitely on its way...so that makes me a-ok with the rain & storms that will be here throughout the day....oh, and also the fact that it's finally friday! this weekend i'm looking forward to some relaxing, some running, and some more relaxing :)

is it just me, or has this week been impossibly long? it was one of those weeks that i woke up thinking, "this hasssssss to be friday??" and it was only tuesday, then wednesday...you get the point. so, with today FINALLY being friday, i am relieved! this weekend i am looking forward to catching up on sleep(!!!!), seeing some friends, long runs, and completing some wedding details :)

it's finally friday & i have to say that this week has been a longggg one.  on the agenda: i'm looking forward to sleeping in, long runs, a little bitta wedding planning, and a baby shower for my future sister in law!

and of course a glass of wine & a movie with the boy ;)

always nice to know that this coming weekend will be one day longer.  makes me think monday should permanently become part of the weekend days.
this weekend, i'm looking forward to sealing the deal on the honeymoon reservations, curling up in a corner of starbucks with my kindle, & shopping for my momma's dress for my wedding!

friday is here & christmas is NEXT weekend. therefore, go on & get that shopping done. drive around town & admire the lights. snuggle up a little closer to your hunnie & watch your favorite holiday movie..or two. drink something warm & eat a cookie & be thankful for another year.  all things i plan to do this weekend!
