super excited that it's friday!

excited to see girlfriends all this weekend!!

feeling bittersweet that summer is ending ..& fall is right around the c o r n e r . .

loving that shawn & i have picked out our wedding bands!! (even if our wedding is just over a year away, trying on rings is FUN)

hoping that the reception site we are looking at on wednesday will be THE one

wonderful whirlwind of a weekend :)

this weekend was jam packed with fun & friends...i'm so thankful to have been able to see almost all of the important people in my life in one weekend...so unexpected & surprising! i love it!

let's start with friday! my FIANCEE and i ;) <love love LOVE saying the F word :)> went to see the hangover part 2.  it was between bridesmaids and hangover..we opted for the latter.  the movie was definitely funny, but i prefer the first. although, they were practically the same movie! more importantly though, getting to the point here, i was beyond ecstatic upon entering the movie theater and discovering the front row was filled with 6 of my best buds from PSU!!! we had arrived fairly early for the movie, unsure how full the theater would be,  so i had ample time to catch up my girls on all things proposal & engagement related before the movie started =)

saturday: where do i begin to discuss the fun that was had saturday evening?! my dear friends, and fellow engaged couple, invited us to join them for a birthday party/open bar at a one of our favorite spots in the city. and, well, the photos speak for themseleves: (sorry for photo overload, but not really)

sunday: yesterday we were up & at em bright and early for manayunk bike race 2011!!  thankfully, the day was not too hot. in past years, we sweated our butts off! for those who are not familiar with bike race, professional teams from different countries come to the city of brotherly love to race up the hills of manayunk while the locals cheer them on from the streets. it is a day filled with BBQ, beers (or mimosas if you are me!), games, and great friends.  more pics:

all in all...it was a great weekend!!! loved seeing so many friends in all one weekend...hope your weekend was fab as well!!

water for elephants

i have been hearing so much buzz about water for elephants.  this new york times best seller is being made into a movie with reese witherspoon (love) & robert pattinson (also, love) to be released this month people!! taking place in the 1920's during the depression era, it is the story of jacob: a young man in veterinary school whose parents die, forcing him to drop out of school and find a job.  he uses his animal expertise to join a circus where he learns that his schizophrenic boss, August, is abusive to the animals & his own wife, Marlena - ultimately, Jacob & Marlena fall in love..a romantic page turner about morals, love, & the bond of people & animals. sounds like my kind of book! have you read this? will you see the movie?

i'm dying over reese's look in the movie. her hair, makeup, & outfits are amazing. i think i was 20's girl in a previous life;)

due date has been at the top of my netflix list for a while and it finally arrived this week!!!

the boy & i are hunkering down with some popcorn and some blankets. 

aren't friday night movie nights so fun once in a while??

but before show time, we are going to fit in a little gym time . .
